We live in a lively part of town, on the sunny side of the Rhine river. Walks along the waterside are a delight. In summer it's a great spot for river swimming, followed by a cool beer at the Dreirosenbuvette. There are many bars, cafés, restaurants and ethnic food shops just around the corner and our neighborhood has great public transportation connections. A park, a children's playground and an indoor children's play hall (dreirosen-freizeithalle) are just two blocks away.
Basel offers its visitors a well-preserved historical center, some good spots for nightlife, countless museums, among others Fondation Beyeler, Kunstmuseum, Tinguely Museum, Vitra Design Museum, the Schaulager and a stunning zoo. Centrally located in the Swiss-German-French border region Basel is serviced by many international trains and is ideally located for excursions to the Jura mountain range, the black forest, Alsacia but also cities such as Freiburg im Breisgau, Zurich, Bern and Lucerne
